Stonehenge [2000 B.C.] by Bernard Cornwell

Stonehenge: A Novel - In a fictional tale to explain a probable reason Stonehenge exists, Cornwell brings to life his vision of the ancient people of the British Isles.  In the tribe of Ratharryn, the chief has three sons:  Lengar the oldest, who is expected to become chief, Camaban, a cripple who has been exiled from the tribe, and Saban the youngest, who is manipulated into his older brother’s wishes.  Lengar does become chief, but is cruel and power hungry, Camaban becomes a sorcerer who has the vision to create a temple of stones, and Saban is forced to use his wits to actually move and raise the stones to his brother’s wishes.
