Sharpe's Fortress: India 1803 (Richard Sharpe's Adventure Series #3) - Sharpe is struggling with the responsibilities of being an officer.  The officers consider him an upstart and the enlisted don’t want him either.  Colonel William Dodd, still fighting for the Mahratta’s has his Cobras defending the fortress of Gawilghur.  The Fortress is thought to be totally impenetrable but the British are planning to attack anyway.
