Sharpe's Rifles (Richard Sharpe's Adventure Series #6) - As the English are retreating across Spain to Corunna, Lieutenant Sharpe is commanding the 95th Rifles. They are cut off from the rest of the army by the French. They seem to be saved by Blas Vivar and his band of Spanish soldiers, but Vivar has his own agenda and tricks Sharpe into guarding his band on his own mission.


So far this is the first Sharpe story that isn’t set against a true battle. Instead, although the French invasion is real, Blas Vivar and his secret chest is fiction.
