Assumed Identity by David Morrell
Assumed Identity
- Morrell has again written a work that can not be put down. Brendan Buchanan is an undercover operative who changes his identity as easily as one changes their shoes. Each persona has its own personality, walk, music and food preferences and speech patterns. Working to bring down a drug cartel in Mexico , Buchanan is recognized by a past acquaintance of another personality, Big Bob Bailey. While getting extracted from Mexico , Buchanan sees a tall red headed woman taking his picture. In Florida , while trying to convince Bailey that he is mistaken, Buchanan recognizes the woman, again taking pictures. The woman turns out to be Holly McCoy, a reporter who knows a lot about Buchanan and won’t give up until she gets her story.
