Eclipse - Damon Pierce goes to Africa to defend a freedom fighter against a charge of murder. The charge is being brought against his friend Bobby Okari, to quell his revolution. Damon has to cut through the red tape of being a foreigner and the involvement of an US company as well as the corrupt government.
Although Patterson places his story in the fictional Luandia, the idea of the novel came from real events that happened in Nigeria 15 years ago. Also, the telling of the tale is dry and almost boring until the actual trial, but the events keep you wanting to know what happens.
