Breathless - Eerie things are happening in several places. Wild animals are suddenly tame, two beautiful animals of unknown species suddenly appear, a wealthy man calmly discusses the murder of his wife and child, another, murders his brother and sister-in-law. What do all these have in common? It seems every chapter brings a new local with new characters. Not until the middle of the story do any of these characters meet.
Although the mystery is of Dean Koontz quality, the story was very hard to follow because of the jumping from one scene to the next.
