Darkness Falls - Erin Neal has retired from the world in his self contained home far from civilization. He believes the world needs to adapt their habits to the declining environment. He still mourns the death of his girlfriend, Jenna Kalin. Jenna was more militant in her ‘save the environment’ actions and actually sabotaged an Alaskan oil field. However, Jenna left Erin when she took up with a man even more militant than she. When Saudi oil wells are infected with an oil eating bacteria, Mark Beamon drafts Erin to find a way to kill the bacteria.
