- Rosetta’s Cranleigh’s parents were more interested in their separate careers than their daughter. However, when she was 18, they had her accompany them on her father’s lecture tour to Africa and the USA. Unfortunately the ship was wrecked off the coast of Africa; Rosetta and two men were rescued by pirates and Rosetta was sold into a sultan’s harem.
