The Winning Hand – Darcy Wallace wants to start from scratch. Heading west her car breaks down a mile out of Vegas. After walking a mile, she spots the number 1,800,079.37 on a slot machine. Having exactly $9.37 on hand, she decides to spend $3.00 and pull the arm. Shell wins the nearly $2 million. Having been alerted to her presence, Mac Blade is on hand to witness her win. Because she is obviously naïve, broke and otherwise in need of help, Mac becomes an advisor.
The Perfect Neighbor – Cybil Campbell convinced by her neighbor to welcome the new Preston McQuinn to the complex. Preston is rude. The next time they meet he is leaving and she follows him to the bar where he plays.
