Nocturnes by John Connolly

Nocturnes - This is a collection of short stories.  All of the stories have a evil supernatural element.  The last of which is a novella featuring Charlie Parker, "The Reflecting Eye."  This story does continue Parker's saga and later novels refer to elements of the story.  In this story, Parker is hired by Frank Matheson.  Matheson's daughter Louise was the last child to be killed by John Grady in his house full of mirrors. Matheson now owns the Grady house and found a picture of a girl in the mailbox.  He believes that it indicates that someone else is kidnapping young children again.  As he investigates, Parker meets "the Collector" who can't enter the house buts wants Parker to retrieve a mirror for him.
