- Cassie Neill can get into the mind of some people and know what they are thinking and doing. Sometimes this helps the police catch killers before they kill. Often however, all she obtains is useless information. Always she is drained afterwards from the effort. After one such failure where she led the cops down a wrong road, she moved from LA to a small NC town. Here she had inherited a home from an aunt she never knew. But running away did not help. She connects with a would be killer and feels honor bound to report what she “sees and hears” to the local sheriff and prosecutor.FBI Agent Noah Bishop is a minor character but this is the 1st of the Bishop / Special Crimes Unit series: Shadows trilogy. And, I believe, the 1st of the Bishop series altogether. I’ll find out as I get into the other trilogies I am sure.
