- Most of Detective Michael Bennett’s children are sick with the flu. However, Bennett cannot take off to help his nanny, Mary Catherine nurse the children. He is ordered to take the case of the “Teacher”, a serial killer who seems to killing the rich. The Teacher believes he is ridding the world of those who are offensive. He has a list of those who have already offended him and he writes a manifesto telling New York City that if you are offensive the penalty is death.
