Deeply Odd by Dean Koontz
Deeply Odd (Odd Thomas)
- Odd Thomas meets a truck driver decked out like a rhinestone cowboy. When they inadvertently touch, Odd sees a vision of the cowboy torturing children on a stage. As Odd tries to find the children, he meets Edie Fischer, an elderly woman driving a limousine. Ms. Fischer hires Odd to be her driver, but usually ends up driving because she doesn't like the way he drives. The two of them follow Odd's sense to find the children. Odd finds himself "traveling" to a place he calls Elsewhere. Elsewhere is an alternate universe where the cowboy and his cohorts hide things and there evil ceremonies. Along the way, the spirit of Alfred Hitchcock helps Odd.
