Kay, her husband Benton, her niece Lucy, as well as Pete Marino find that they are not only after a vicious murderer, but that killer is also part of a diabolical plot that is killing woman inmates.In my opinion, this is not one of Cornwell's best. The story starts slow, and although the mystery deepens and keeps one interest, the resolution is disappointing and very unsatisfying.
