Everlasting by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss

Everlasting - Abrielle is a beautiful lady that several unmarried noblemen are vying to marry. Until her step father is denied his rightful title and wealth. Then of course, since she comes with no dowry and her family has been thrown into poverty, only the depraved Desmond de Marlé asks for her hand in marriage. To save her family’s honor and lives Abrielle agrees to marry the oaf even though everyone knows she hates him. Of course there’s the dashing Raven Seabern with whom Abrielle fell in love at first sight. But, he was unable to vie for her attentions before her engagement.

This romantic history has no surprises. It pretty much follows the romance formula. So much so I knew what was going to happen even before it happen. But, even so, it is written in such a way that it was a pleasure to read.
