A Dance with Dragons (A Song of Ice and Fire) - This volume chronologically follows A Storm of Swords, the third book in the series like A Feast for Crows.  However, the characters' viewpoints are those in the north, on the Wall, and across the sea.  Furthermore, the book goes beyond the time frame of A Feast for Crows and brings in some of the characters' viewpoints from the south as well.

Daenerys is trying to hold on to peace in Mereen.  Tyrion, fleeing from King's Landing, is on his way to Daenerys.  There are others who also believe that joining with Daenerys will restore their own power in Westeros.  Jon Snow struggles to keep the free folk,the Night Watch and Stannis' followers together to fight against a common enemy
