The Liar - As Shelby Foxworth tries to deal with the death of her husband, Richard, she learns that he has been lying to her.  They had no money, he had not made one payment on their new mansion, and they had over $3 million in debt.  Furthermore, an investigator accosts her saying that Richard stole $30 million in jewels and rare stamps from a woman in Miami, Florida; and he insists that Shelby hand them over.

Shelby and her 3 year old daughter return to Rendezvous Ridge, where her family helps her deal with Richard's mess.  She reunites with her best friend, Emma Kate, who is dating Matt.  Matt is partnered with Griff in a construction business.  Griff and Shelby are mutually struck when they meet.  However, the fallout from Richard's mess follows her and they have to deal with the violence that ensues.
