The Dogwoods Are Blooming - This is the story of Emily and Heath Barrett and their children. It begins with their marriage in the early 1900s.  Throughout their marriage they faced many of the same trials many couples face including in-law disapproval, infidelity, death of children, floods, and unemployment. They also have many joys including adopting a Sioux girl, seeing their children grow, and seeing their grandchildren.
