L.A. Times by Stuart Woods

L.A. Times -Since he was six, Vinnie Callabrese has seen over 2000 movies, some of them several times.  At 14, Vinnie paid for his theater going by running errands for the mob. At 28 he is an enforcer, but he has also set himself up as Michael Vincent, a freelance writer.  It is as Michael that he presents a film to the head of Centurion Studios and becomes the newest producer in Hollywood.  However, through his best friend Tommy, he is unable to sever all connections to the mob and the local police are able to connect him to a murder from which he personally benefits.
