Imperfect Strangers by Stuart Woods
Imperfect Strangers
- Sandy Kinsolving's father-in-law dies. His wife divorces him, leaving Sandy with basically nothing. He had previously met Peter Martindale on an airplane and after watching Alfred Hithcock's Strangers on a Train, Peter suggests that they kill each other's wife. Sandy initially agrees, then thinking better, declines. However, Martindale ignores Sandy's wishes and kills Sandy's wife. Now Peter expects Sandy to return the favor.
