The Murderer's Daughter: A Novel - Because, and in spite, of her background, Dr. Grace Blades has become a preeminent therapists for individuals who have suffered traumatic events.  On the eve of her vacation, a man comes into her office for a session saying that he needed her specialized help.  Awkwardly, this is the very man she hooked up with anonymously the night before, he is unable, or unwilling to confide in her.  Soon after the man is murdered.  Blades then finds herself in being followed and her life in danger.  Investigating by herself, she learns that the man and his death relate to her childhood.
