Silver Tower by Dale Brown
Silver Tower
- Armstrong Space Station, nicknamed Silver Tower, has the ability to survey a large portion of the earth and relay positions of just about anything to key US personnel on earth. Ann Page has developed a defensive laser that works in conjunction with this Space Based Radar. When the Russians decide to invade Iran, Silver Tower, plays a big part in defending Iran and the US forces based in the Persian Gulf.

surveillance plane and a US satellite are destroyed by the laser, the US condemns the laser. The Russians not only deny the existance of the laser but continue to use it. After the base where US experimental planes are developed is attacked, the latest plane, Old Dog, is rescued and the crew decides on their own to attack the Russian laser.

- When the attack on a French held bridge goes wrong, one of Sharpe's Lieutenants in taken prisoner while under truce. Sharpe swears revenge on the French officer but first has to deal with a pompous general who has broken his leg. While in Cadiz waiting for ships to take them back to Lisbon , Sharpe is asked by the British Ambassador to assist in the retrieval of some love letters that are being forged and published. Afterwards he is unable to get a ship because of the expected upcoming battle. He then decides to go after the officer who took his Lieutenant prisoner.
