The Golem of Paris by Jonathan Kellerman and Jesse Kellerman
The Golem of Paris
- Detective Jacob Lev has been relegated to cataloging files for the LAPD. He is estranged from his father, watched over by Special Projects, haunted by the memory of Mai, and his mother is locked away in her own mind, not speaking at all to anyone. He finds the file of an old case of the murder of a woman and her son, staged to appear looking at one another. His investigations leads him to Paris where a similar murder has taken place. Lev's story is interspersed with the story of a woman who was incarcerated in an asylum unjustly in 1982.
