Host - Fourth year medical student Lynn Pierce is devastated when her boyfriend, Carl Vandermeer,  fails to return to consciousness after routine surgery on his knee.  Convinced there was human error, she begins to investigate.  However, hospital officials block her investigation.  As she and her best friend Michael Pender continue, they discover that not only was Carl's situation created on purpose, it has something to do with the new addition to the hospital, a facility for those in comas and vegetative states.
