- Orphaned, Fia and Annie lived with their aunt until they are accepted into the Keane Foundation School. At this school they learn to enhance their natural psychic abilities. Fia never likes the place and they soon learn that there is something wrong. However, Annie's life is threatened when Fia does not do what Mr. Keane wants, and so they stay until Fia fakes the death of a target who is also targeted by another group.
