Life of Pi by Yann Martel
Life of Pi
- Piscine (pronounced pea-seen) Molitar Patel grew up in India. His father managed the Pondicherry Zoo. By the time he was 16, Pi developed love for God and expressed it by attending Catholic Mass, the Muslim Mosque, as well as the Hindu Temple. It was at this time that his family decided to move to Canada. The ship they were on sank. Pi was the sole human survivor. He shared his lifeboat with a Bengal tiger. Advertised as a "story to make you believe in God", Life of Pi
recounts Pi's adventure on the Pacific and how he survived.
