Sleeping with Fear - Riley Crane wakes up in a rental cottage at Opal Island in bed fully dressed, covered in blood and with amnesia of the last 3 weeks. Her senses are dulled and her paranormal senses are completely gone. Before long the local sheriff Jake Ballard asks her to help in a murder investigation and she discovers that not only has she dated the sheriff but is intimately involved with the sheriffs boyhood rival Ash Prescott. Ash has a connection to the serial killer that Riley had tracked and killed 3 years ago. Her army buddy Gordon Skinner who asked her to come investigate some occult occurrences earlier is dating the sheriff’s deputy Leah. Riley knows that something is not right, but doesn’t know who she can trust and who she can’t. Bishop can’t send in backup because everyone else is on their own cases.
