Mickey Haller, defense attorney, is asked to be a special prosecutor on a case that was reversed because of DNA. Haller asks his ex-wife to be second chair and Harry Bosch to be the investigator. The case involves the murder of a young girl. The DNA suggests that her step-father was involved, but the girl’s sister insists that it was the man originally accused.
