Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts

Chasing Fire - Rowan Tripp is a leader of the Missoula smoke jumpers in Montana.  Last season she lost her jump partner, Jim, in a jump accident.  His girlfriend, Dolly, blames Rowan for his death.  This season, Dolly has returned with Jim's baby and vengeance in her heart.  Gulliver Curry is one of this year’s rookies and he is determined to protect Rowan and win her heart.

love that gone are the misconceptions that a woman can't do a physically demanding or "man's" job. Rowan and Gull are great characters and I love the side story of Lucas & Ella. I had read other reviews that found the book too technical, however I didn't find it "too" technical, I found that she actually researched her topic (unlike some authors today). Nora Roberts continues to amaze me with all her different story lines - from the paranormal to the mythical to everyday real people. I loved this book and it was a great and entertaining read.
