Cook's Night Out: An Angie Amalfi Mystery (Angie Amalfi Mysteries)
- Angie decides she wants to start her own business, making chocolates. As she tries to come up with a signature candy, she is making a lot of candy. So she decides to donate her efforts to the Random Acts of Kindness Mission. However, when she meets the Reverend Hodge and his volunteers, the mission is void of needy people and is decorated in a very classy manner. She later learns that Axel Klaw, who Paavo believes to be his sister's murderer, is involved. Nevertheless, she believes that Hodge is sincere and volunteers to help with the upcoming auction to benefit the mission.
Meanwhile, Paavo is implicated in the murders of several number runners. Moreover, it is rumored that Paavo is the insider help to the new banker running the numbers in town. As Paavo investigates, it seems that every time he makes a connection, that person is killed, and he is implicated in the murder.
