The Lost Years by Mary Higgins Clark

The Lost Years - Jonathan Lyons has found the rarest of biblical relics, a letter written by Jesus Christ to his friend, Joseph of Arimethea. After he has had the letter authenticated he is murdered and his wife, Kathleen (who is suffering from Alzheimer's diseases) is accused of the murder.

Although this novel does deal with murder, it is a departure from her usual writing.  Less scary and more mystery.

Supreme Justice: A Novel of Suspense - John Finley has been killed.  Sarah Woodruff accused of his murder is tried and convicted.  On death row she has appealed to the Supreme Court.   One of the justices about to vote to hear her case, resigns from the court.  Another justice, trying to block the hearing, is visibly upset when Justice Moss got a motion to pass to delay the vote until the new justice arrives.  Afterwards, their is an attempt on Moss' life as well as pressure on the President to nominate a justice that will vote against hearing Woodruff's case.

Meanwhile, an old acquaintance of Aunt Vespasia is senile and dying.  In a lucid moment, she confides in Vespasia that she is afraid of disclosing dangerous secrets to the wrong person.
